Seven Coffee Roasters is seeking a Retail Manager for our Market/Café in the Ravenna neighborhood of Seattle. We are looking for a strong, experienced leader who wants to manage a small, but successful and fun retail market and cafe. The job requires 25 - 30 hours per week. We are looking for a strong leader who is innovative and ready to take us to the next level.
Seven Market & Café is a quaint little market on Ravenna Boulevard with a cool coffee bar inside that specializes in our great espresso, whole bean coffee, local goods, craft beer and wine. Key Responsibilities of the Retail Manager:
Identify the right talent and onboard, coach, train, engage and develop a team to drive results.
Prepare staff schedules and oversee payroll processing.
Plan and execute strategic initiatives that drive operational effectiveness and deliver high quality products and service without compromise.
Set up and streamline processes and policies to help build consistent work practices.
Review business metrics with the Owner regularly, identify and communicate ideas for operations and business improvement.
Manage all vendor relationships, select and merchandise retail products.
Ensure adequate inventory while continuing to research innovative products for both locations.
Manage expenses and track sales.
Ensure health and safety procedures.
Make sure we get the small details right, so the big ones fall into place.
Roll up your sleeves to help get the job done no matter what.
What the Successful Candidate Should Have:
4+ years retail management with increasing levels of responsibility within the specialty coffee/cafe/market industry is ideal.
Passion for quality customer service.
Demonstrated experience leading, managing and mentoring teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must work well under pressure, exercise good judgment when making decisions and handle life in a mature, professional manner.
Must make cleanliness and safety a daily priority.
Proficient computer skills including Square POS, Google Docs, Shopify, Social Media
