Established in 1922 as a market, Seven Market & Cafe sits in the quiet and charming neighborhood of Ravenna, near the University District. Ravenna Boulevard was once a main thoroughfare in Seattle for loggers hauling their goods from Green Lake to Lake Washington. The market served those loggers and others using the boulevard as a passage. Today, however, we serve the lovely residents of Ravenna and the surrounding neighborhoods of the University of Washington.
Our goal with product selection is to carry as many locally produced products as we can. We believe in “Think Globally, Act Locally”. We have a variety of tasty treats from around the greater Seattle area; from Full Tilt Ice Cream from White Center, to Honest Biscuits from Pike Place Market, to Flying Apron Bakery from Fremont. We love to support our fellow small businesses as much as possible.
We offer an extensive selection of beer and wine, including many local brewers and wineries. We also serve a rotating selection of beers and ciders, which gives you a chance to expand your palate and try new beers and ciders. A few local craft beers and wines that we carry include Fremont, Rooftop Brewing Co., Hale's Ales, Eight Bells, and Chateau Ste. Michelle. Also try our Market Mimosas offered every Saturday and Sunday!
The cafe can seat 20 if we get cozy. More seating can be found outside when the elusive Seattle sun makes an appearance.
If you are a local vendor and would like us to carry your product, please contact us via our contact page to get in touch!

Sweet little cafe and mini grocery by Ravenna Park. Nice staff, love the atmosphere. They have sandwiches and sweet treats. Minimal gluten free options but a few. Chai is nice balance of spicy and sweet (and I'm picky). Great place to work but can fill up.Wendie
Seven is definitely one of my favorite coffee shops in town. Welcoming low key vibe, solid coffee, and quality bulk beans! Also points for having some lived-in character, as opposed to the five million sleek new fancy spots in Seattle these days.Aaron
