Tasting Notes: Berry, Caramel, Papaya
Grown in the Serra da Mantiqueira mountain range that spans three Brazilian states, this single origin batch is as complex as the region it comes from. It is a very easy-drinking coffee with a floral aroma, creamy texture, and a high acidity reminiscent of fresh citrus.
The Serra da Mantiqueira is part of the Atlantic Forest ecosystem, one of the most biodiverse regions on the planet and often considered the “green lung” for its range of plant life. Mantiqueira de Minas produces coffee of the highest quality, and its growers are dedicated to the socio-environmental sustainability of the region.
Brazil Mantiqueira de Minas
I was able to taste graham cracker as well as semi-sweet chocolate. There was a sandwich of sweetness to this brew; I am willing to classify it as marshmallow. No charcoal or burnt quality, just all the classic flavors one gets making smores on their stove top. Try and pretend that you don't do that!
I normally brew espresso (1 to 1.5 ratio). I bought this to brew espresso lungo (1 to 3 ratio). Roasted perfectly and shipped the same day I ordered. Smooth, bursting with flavor and a long finish..... I could drink these all day long. If you want a single origin bean before prices go up, this would be one to try.
This is one of the best coffees I've tried so far. I've only been into good coffee about a year, but I tried countless roasters and many coffees, from different regions. This is special. From the nice aroma to the unbelievable natural sweetness. Berries, cherries flowers and other flavors. Beautiful roasting job. Truly a master piece. Good job and thanks.
