Roast: Medium Roast.
Tasting notes:Dark Chocolate, Butter, Cedar
In Hawaiian, Huli means to grow through change. Always striving for something better, our specialty espresso reflects our dedication to unique and delicious artisan coffees. Espresso Huli is a blend of coffees from Indonesia, Central America, and Africa. With notes of dark chocolate, butter, and cedar, this espresso has a full body and is one of the smoothest finishes of any espresso in Seattle.
Roast: Dark
Tasting notes:Vanilla, Cocoa, Nashi Pear
We take our signature Espresso Huli blend and roast it just a bit longer to create our best dark roast coffee. The darker roast brings out rich flavors of vanilla, cocoa, and pear in a full-bodied, complex cup of coffee. It has a little bite and the moderate acidity that you’re looking for in a dark roast, but it maintains the smooth finish that makes our coffees special.
Roast: Medium
Tasting notes: Maple & Citrus
Keala’s takes an untraditional route in composing this unique Hawaiian Kona coffee blend. In Seattle, espresso is king. As a roaster, your espresso blend sets the bar by which you are judged. Keala’s Hawaiin coffee had this in mind when we created the Hapuna Blend.
Keala's Hawaiian Coffee uses coffees from Kona, Hawaii, Africa, and Indonesia to create a classic Seattle dark roasted coffee for it's Hapuna Espresso Blend. The Hapuna blend has a gulping thick body reminiscent of maple syrup. The finish is where the Kona coffee shines as simple sweet citrus hints leave your mouth. The Hapuna Blend works excellently as an espresso. As drip coffee, be prepared for a heavy cup of coffee!
Sort of new to the espresso game, so the sample pack was a good way to go to figure out what I might like. Shipping was a week to get to South Carolina, but the order was processed promptly and sent on its way. I’ve tried all 3 espressos and I’d recommend the sample pack to any espresso newbie or to anyone who just wants to mix things up from time to time with different blends. The 3 espressos definitely have different taste profiles--all very good but it's well worth discovering those differences.
HULI BLEND is the clear winner, IMHO. Definitely going to be my go-to bean in the future.
Hawaiian coffee has always been my favorite, and 7 Coffee Roasters always exceeds my expectations. Each variety has its own blend of flavors and each flavor is sooo delicious. If I had to choose a favorite, I think it would be the Huli blend.
Espresso Coffee Sample Pack
I have only tried two out of the three, (Maui one is unopened) but the Roasters Choice particularly is fantastic. Instantly transported into a downtown coffee shop like I am always trying to recreate at home. Smooth, rich, buttery espresso with no bitter aftertaste, I’m never buying other coffee again. This is such a find!
