100% Kona Hawaiian Coffee

I have brewed several cups now using different methods (water temperature, water source, ratio, etc.) and all have turned out bitter and undrinkable. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this coffee, considering its price. The last time I ordered this 100% Kona was in 2020, but I distinctly remember it being much more pleasant and enjoyable. I'm wondering if anything has changed with the supplier or roasting methods since then, or perhaps I got a bad batch. Either way I'm very disappointed. I'm even more disappointed that this company doesn't seem to care at all about their customers. I reached out via email and got no response. I reached out via Instagram and again, no response. It has been well over a month. Appalling customer service.

I've been buying from 7CR for several years. I always buy the 100% Kona in whole bean form. I bought 2 bags recently. Both were shipped across the US and in my hands in 5 days. However, without realizing it I accidentally dumped some beans to the floor removing these bags from the sealed shipment box. I found BOTH bags only partially sealed(about 1/3 across). Coffee still tastes ok, but could/should be better due to unsealed bags. Surprised this happened especially with premium beans. It definitely happened at the shop or in transit due to poor/no seal. Again, shipment box was sealed.

This Kona consists of the highest grade large beans roasted to a light gold color. This brings out delicate lemon like tastes mostly destoyed by the majority of Kona roasts which are medium or dark. They all have their fans but this version is truly beautiful. Expensive yet definitely worth it.
